Don't they look all awkward and pubescent? 
This would definitely be after the time skip -- maybe once they're reunited. (Which hopefully will actually be in the next couple chapters...!) I was trying to do a pseudo-screenshot look -- you know, painted background, characters shaded cel-style. And I had a lot of fun with their outfits. Everyone had to break out of their norm -- muted colors for Naruto, color for Sasuke, and something that doesn't clash with her hair for Sakura.
I know this isn't perfect, but I hope you'll like it anyway!

I love Sasuke, but Sakura looks too serene for her character.
